AMVETS Post 911 was able to support the Polk County High School wrestling team. The team’s coach is an Army Vet (Angelo Giasante ) who funds 80 percent of the program out of pocket.

1st Rest Area on I-75 just inside Tennessee state line for a photo op with the marker funded by AMVETS Tennessee.   Our gratitude goes out the Bill Kilgore, Jimmy T. Smith and all other Service Foundation members involved with implementing and getting this project approved.  I understand from talking with one of the members that 99% of the hwy. rest stops in Tenseness have one of the monuments.
State Commander Frederick and ED Adams had an opportunity to attend the Post 62 January Business meeting in Memphis on January 15. The meeting was a good discussion and a great meal with the Veterans of Post 62.
